BETA Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Lead, Composites R&D, to drive next-generation composite manufacturing capability. You will lead a team of manufacturing engineers, embed early in design, and develop authoritative guides that shape programs from day one.

The role blends hands-on depth with strategic vision, requiring experience in multiple composite methods and strong leadership to scale production at growing capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 8+ years in manufacturing engineering, NPIs, and composite RD/scale-up.
• Proven ability to lead teams through NPIs and scale high-rate composite production.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and DFx (DFM/DFA) practices.

Responsabilités

• Lead planning for facility expansion, layouts, and infrastructure readiness.
• Develop manufacturing guides and ensure manufacturability during concept to production.
• Partner with design and R&D across milestones, conducting manufacturability reviews.
• Advance composite methods (layup, infusion, autoclave, filament winding) to production.
• Apply Lean/Six Sigma to reduce cycle time and improve quality.
• Recruit and develop a cross-functional engineering team.
• Use DOE, SPC, and RCA to validate technologies and guide investments.
• Create work instructions and process control plans for scale-up.
