Job summary

BETA Technologies is seeking a Composites Design Engineer to craft laminate and core layouts for aerospace composites, under senior technical direction, with a focus on producibility and documentation. You will collaborate across design, stress, manufacturing, and NDT teams in a hybrid, onsite-friendly environment at multiple offices.

The role requires a bachelor’s in an engineering discipline, knowledge of composite structures, CAD proficiency (CATIA/3DEXPERIENCE), and clear communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, materials, or related engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of composite materials, processes, laminates, bonding/joints, and drawings.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and producibility constraints; intro-level damage tolerance and NDT awareness.

Responsibilities

• Create laminate and core layouts, ply concepts, joints, producibility features, and design documentation.
• Coordinate with Senior Composites; Structures; Stress; Manufacturing; NDT teams.
• Produce and maintain composite layouts; ply/core definitions; detail studies and design records.
• Support senior leadership by expanding product-definition capacity while preserving oversight of methods and decisions.
• Document assumptions, interfaces, decisions, risks, and verification needs in configuration-controlled records.
• Communicate status and recommendations clearly in reviews.
