Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to establish standards for manufacturing processes in a testing environment and to mentor engineers across the team. You will drive design-for-manufacturing, create work instructions, and support tooling and configuration management for rocket engine testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 7+ years of manufacturing or test experience.
• Expert level experience in hardware manufacturing: assembly, integration, instrumentation, cleaning, NDT, leak testing, final acceptance testing, fabrication, machining.

Responsibilities

• Mentor manufacturing engineers to build a transformational, flexible organization.
• Establish standards for fabrication specs, test plans, maintenance plans, and statements of work.
• Lead kaizen and process-improvement workshops across Test Operations.
• Translate testing plans into executable work instructions for Engine Technician teams.
