Job summary

Confidential Client in York, PA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead equipment validation, process upgrades, and continuous improvement in a high-volume setting. You will drive data-driven decisions, hands-on execution, and cross‑functional collaboration to influence manufacturing performance from start to finish.

The role emphasizes hands-on ownership of qualification protocols, process validation, and collaboration with Quality and Engineering teams across multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing environments (mid-level opening for 5+ years).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification (IASSC or ASQ aligned preferred).
• Proven experience specifying, installing, testing, and qualifying manufacturing equipment.
• Strong ability to develop and execute equipment qualification and process validation protocols.
• Robust statistical and data analysis skills, familiar with capability tools and tolerances.
• Comfort with automation processes; vision inspection experience (Cognex preferred).
• Ability to interpret and create engineering drawings and schematics.
• Excellent communication and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead manufacturing engineering projects to meet deadlines and budget goals.
• Develop, test, and scale manufacturing processes for new product launches.
• Lead initiatives that boost throughput, eliminate waste, and lower operational costs.
• Create and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and capital equipment justifications.
• Collaborate with Quality and engineering teams to qualify new equipment and processes.
• Engage with vendors on equipment, tooling, and process specifications.
• Support maintenance teams with troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications on equipment.
