Job summary

Viper Staffing Services L.L.C. in New York seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to drive process improvements and capital equipment decisions in our New York facility.

You will identify constraints, lead projects, and implement manufacturing capability to support new products. You will collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and field support, preparing financial analyses for tooling and equipment, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience with drafting/CAD/3D modeling.
• Fixture design experience.
• Minimum 4 years (or 2 years with an MS).
• Experience with energetic materials, including propellants and explosives, is highly desirable
• Experience with cost and schedule

Responsibilities

• Identify Manufacturing Process Constraints.
• Design and implement Manufacturing Process Improvements.
• Identify and select Manufacturing Capital Equipment and prepare necessary appropriations requests.
• Support or lead projects to develop manufacturing capability to build new products.
• Support new or improved manufacturing systems that improve quality, deliver performance, and increase efficiency.
• Lead and/or work on projects that support global manufacturing operations.
• Provide expertise and support manufacturing, engineering, the contract logistics center and field support.
• Preparation of financial analysis for capital expenditures for tooling and equipment needed in support of existing product lines or processes
• Maintain positive teaming relationship with internal and external customers, co-workers.
• Provide leadership to a project team as assigned, mentor/lead other engineers
