Job summary

Viavi Solutions Inc. in Calabasas, CA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for Global Operations Engineering NPI to advance high-speed Ethernet test instruments from product development into world-class manufacturing.

You will define manufacturing processes, tooling, and test methods, partner with PD, HSE, and contract manufacturers, and lead design-for-manufacturing initiatives to ensure cost, quality, and schedule goals are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in an engineering field or related technical discipline.
• 5–8+ years in SMT PCBA manufacturing, box build, or NPI process/test engineering.
• Experience with design-for-manufacturing and manufacturing readiness reviews.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally (>30%).

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI design for manufacturing, test and assembly.
• Coordinate with PD, HSE and contract manufacturers on tooling and processes.
• Develop and validate manufacturing readiness for new products.
• Provide direction for BOM review, ECOs, and process capability analysis.
