Job summary

GTI Fabrication is seeking a senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead the design, control, and continuous improvement of modular fabrication processes for enclosures, containers, and steel weldments. You will work cross-functionally to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
• 4–7 years in manufacturing engineering, modular fabrication or related sectors.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 3D modeling and drafting.
• Strong knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, NetSuite preferred.
• Developed processes for manufacturability and production scaling.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for modular fabricated systems, containerized enclosures, and steel structures.
• Develop formal manufacturing documentation including process flow diagrams, work instructions, BOMs, routings, CNC programming, and inspection plans.
• Use CAD tools to design fixtures, tooling, and work-holding solutions to support scalable production.
• Translate engineering design requirements into robust production processes.
• Lead new product introduction (NPI) efforts from prototype through full-rate production.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve flow.
• Integrate automated and digital manufacturing technologies where applicable.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and alignment between engineering and production.
• Utilize NetSuite to manage process documentation and real-time operations visibility.
• Maintain ISO 9001 compliance; support audits.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective action using FMEA, SPC, and 8D.
• Mentor technicians and junior engineers in best practices.
