Job summary

GTI Fabrication seeks a highly experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead design, control, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for modular enclosures and structural weldments. You will work across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes SolidWorks/AutoCAD proficiency, Lean/Six Sigma expertise, and ERP systems like NetSuite to manage documentation and real-time operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
• 4–7 years of manufacturing engineering experience in modular fabrication, defense, energy, or industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for modular systems and steel structures.
• Develop manufacturing documentation: process flows, work instructions, BOMs, routings, CNC programs, assembly/inspection plans.
• Use SolidWorks and AutoCAD to design fixtures and tooling for scalable production.
• Translate design requirements into manufacturable processes.
• Lead NPI from prototype to full-rate production.
• Apply Lean principles to reduce waste and improve flow.
• Integrate automated/digital manufacturing technologies where applicable.
• Collaborate to ensure manufacturability aligns with production capability.
• Utilize NetSuite to manage process documentation and operations visibility.
• Maintain ISO 9001 compliance and support audits.
• Drive root cause analysis using FMEA, SPC, and 8D.
• Mentor technicians and junior engineers.
