Job summary

BLUvera, Mortenson's manufacturing affiliate, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead process improvements and develop efficient manufacturing processes. You will provide hands-on maintenance support and collaborate with safety, quality, and plant teams to meet safety, quality, and cost goals.

Responsibilities include documenting changes, implementing control techniques, and training production staff. Strong engineering background and AutoCAD experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 8+ years in assembly/manufacturing with process engineering/maintenance focus.
• Experience in equipment maintenance, process improvement, and product design.
• Understanding of construction scopes (framing, electrical, finishes).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and root cause analysis.
• Proven problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Experience leading continuous improvement and change management.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with electrical systems and UL compliance.
• Lean manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads engineering process improvement of plant operations with safety, quality, and enviro teams.
• Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing processes; documents changes.
• Implements process control techniques and procedures.
• Analyzes process flow for safety, quality, throughput, and cost improvements.
• Collaborates on tooling and design for efficient production methods.
• Designs/manufactures processes for enhancements, changes, and new products with low cost.
• Provides hands-on maintenance and engineering support to troubleshoot issues.
• Identifies and completes preventive maintenance tasks.
• Works with production to develop and implement technical training.
• Maintains documentation of tool drawings and design concepts.
• Maintains knowledge of processes and production equipment.
• Utilizes lean methodologies to meet plant goals.
• Builds relationships across backgrounds and levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
