Job summary

BLUvera, Mortenson’s manufacturing affiliate, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead process improvements in plant operations, developing manufacturing processes, and providing hands-on maintenance and engineering support.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on and design experience in equipment maintenance, process improvement, and product design, with a strong Lean focus and ability to work across safety, quality, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 10+ years of assembly/manufacturing experience with emphasis on continuous process improvement.
• Demonstrated experience in equipment maintenance, process improvement, and product design.
• Understanding of construction scopes (framing, electrical, exterior finishes, interior finishes).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and root cause analysis skills.
• Proven problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Experience leading continuous improvement and change management activities.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with electrical systems and UL compliance.
• Lean manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Leads engineering process improvement of plant operations, collaborating with safety, quality, and environmental teams.
• Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing processes; documents changes.
• Implements process control techniques and procedures.
• Analyzes manufacturing process flow for safety, quality, throughput, and cost improvements.
• Collaborates with plant team on tooling and design for efficient production methods.
• Designs and develops manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products with low defects and cost.
