Job summary
Schindler Group in Wayne, NJ is seeking a Sr Manufacturing Engineer to support Operational Excellence in elevator product manufacturing. You will lead cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality and productivity of existing and new products.
The role emphasizes lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen events, and active development of standard work, BOMs, and MRP configurations. You will collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, and installation teams to optimize processes.
Qualifications
- Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering concepts.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma.
- Experience with MRP/SAP.
Responsibilities
- Support industrialization efforts and change management for new and existing products.
- Review and validate proposed product changes and new product implementation.
- Propose, plan, implement and support efficiency improvements through process optimization.
- Utilize quality and productivity metrics to identify opportunities and track impact of implementations.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tool sets.
- Lead Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement.
