Job summary

Delta System & Software, Inc. in Dublin, VA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes at the New River Valley facility.

You will drive continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma, establish production standards, and provide technical leadership to engineers while partnering with engineering and materials teams to ensure on-time launches and cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, industrial, manufacturing or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent.
• Alternative option with an associate’s degree and 8 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support new process trials and provide engineering support to ensure stable, efficient operations.
• Establish and maintain production methods, standards, tooling, and equipment.
• Drive safety, ergonomics and efficiency improvements through lean changes and continuous initiatives.
• Collaborate with Materials and cross-functional teams to optimize material flow using Lean principles.
• Coordinate new product implementations and engineering changes with balanced timing and manpower.
• Mentor Manufacturing Engineers and lead programs to meet production and business targets.
