Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for the Westinghouse Parts Business in New Stanton, PA. This anchor on-site role supports production of machined parts and large circuit breakers, reporting to the Manager of Mechanical and Breaker Products.

You will join a cross-functional team focused on improving safety, reliability, and product quality while minimizing downtime and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in an engineering role.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control principles.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
• SAP knowledge, especially production, requisitioning, and material master data management.
• Experience with writing technical requirements for procurement of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the production shop floor, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
• Analyze current manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement; develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
• Design, select, and oversee installation of new manufacturing equipment and ensure it is maintained and operating efficiently.
• Resolve obsolescence issues through redesign of parts using current manufacturing technology.
• Facilitate disposition of quality issues on both purchased and manufactured parts.
• Prepare and review technical packages including drawings, specifications, and procurement requirements.
• Provide technical input during the proposal process.
• Work with cross-functional team including quality engineering, supply chain, marketing, customer service, and supplier base.
