Job summary

TAPCO (Traffic and Parking Control Co., LLC) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III to lead cross-functional process improvements and mentor engineers. The role emphasizes delivering measurable cost savings, quality improvements, and efficiency gains across manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, metal fabrication, CAD (SolidWorks), and Lean methodologies, with 8+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering environment.
• Proven success leading projects delivering cost, quality, or efficiency improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering accountability and ownership.
• Drive the delivery of projects with measurable cost savings and efficiency gains.
• Lead PFMEAs and contribute to Lessons Learned and design reviews to improve future designs.
• Design and implement advanced manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment for optimized workflows.
• Utilize CAD tools (SolidWorks) to develop layouts, tooling, and prototypes.
• Own Lean initiatives including Kaizen, 5S, and value stream mapping.
• Conduct root cause analyses to identify and correct production issues.
• Collaborate with NPD on new products and manufacturing readiness.
