Job summary

Cummins is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead end-to-end manufacturing initiatives at our Columbus, IN facility. You will drive process improvements, apply Lean, Six Sigma, and GD&T, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize throughput while maintaining safety and quality.

This onsite role requires SolidWorks expertise, CapEx project management, and hands-on manufacturing experience. It is 100% onsite with up to 10% travel; relocation is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience applying GD&T and data-driven problem solving to manufacturing challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end manufacturing projects ensuring safety, quality, and business objectives.
• Drive process optimization to increase throughput and reduce waste.
• Implement advanced manufacturing solutions via data-driven analysis and simulation tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver capital projects and process improvements.
• Develop standardized manufacturing procedures for consistency and reliability.
• Integrate product design and drawings to create efficient production processes.
• Champion safety and ergonomic design practices and mentor others in continuous improvement.
