The position emphasizes on-floor activity (about 70%), fixture design, CNC programming, and process automation with a focus on quality, cost reduction, and waste minimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering with 5 years of experience.
• Basic knowledge of tooling design methods and machine tool programming.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing process engineering and support cross-functional teams.
• Oversee fixture design, part inspection, process automation, CNC programming, and robotics.
• Analyze operations to propose tooling and equipment improvements for quality and cost.
• Use root-cause analysis to fix manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
• Provide leadership and training to manufacturing staff; ensure rapid machine uptime.
• Develop and revise documentation for work instructions, tooling tables, and inspection sheets.
• Create engineering reports; use pivot tables and Excel to present findings.
• Lead World-Class Principles to reduce waste and improve customer satisfaction.
• Produce 3D CAD drawings for fixtures and tooling; monitor machine availability and OEE.
• Monitor throughput, cost, and on-time delivery; perform other duties as needed.
• 70% of time spent on the production floor.
