Job summary

Honeywell Technologies in Acton, MA is seeking a Sr Manufacturing Engineer to lead global Manufacturing Engineering, drive operational excellence, and implement efficient processes on-site. You will report to the Plant Manager, manage process specifications, lead NPI builds, apply Lean and Six Sigma, and mentor technicians while identifying cost reductions and yield improvements.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related roles.
Expertise in manufacturing process design, equipment selection, and implementation to drive operational excellence.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools.
Proficiency with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools to support process development and validation.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain process specifications, SOPs, PFMEAs, work instructions, and training materials.
Support NPI builds and product transfers; lead reviews, tooling readiness, validation, and production release.
Use SPC, DOE, capability analysis, defects analysis to improve FPY, OEE, throughput, and labor productivity.
Establish preventive and predictive maintenance requirements; monitor calibration and spare parts.
Interact with outside vendors to resolve issues and improve performance.
Mentor technicians and provide support to other disciplines as needed.
Cost improvement analysis and productivity improvements for manufacturing processes.
