Job summary

Castelion is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support development and production of critical components for long-range hypersonic strike vehicles. This is a full-time, exempt position based in our Torrance, CA HQ.

You will lead manufacturing processes, transition from development to high-rate production, create build instructions and test procedures, and collaborate with supply chain and design teams to drive DFM and tooling design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 5+ years of manufacturing, fabrication, assembly or testing experience (or heavy involvement in university design teams).
• Experience with aerospace mechanisms and transitioning development to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production of mechanisms such as the Castelion separation system and Launchers.
• Develop process and factory design to reach production rates of 1000s of units per year.
• Create and refine build instructions, test procedures, safety standards, and mBOMs.
• Develop plans and schedules and coordinate with supply chain to qualify suppliers.
• Design and validate tooling and participate in design reviews to drive DFM.
