Job summary

Abbott, a global healthcare leader, has a Casa Grande, AZ location for its Nutrition division. This Manufacturing Engineer role focuses on reliability, maintenance optimization, and continuous improvement to keep equipment performing at high levels.

You will lead RCA investigations, develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and work with cross-functional teams to lower downtime while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with heavy machinery in a regulated environment.
• In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement asset reliability strategies, prioritizing critical assets by risk and impact.
• Investigate equipment failures and production issues; propose and implement RCA-based solutions.
• Review maintenance activities to reduce unplanned downtime and update programs per trends.
• Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and potential issues; monitor MTBF/MTTR.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment design and procedures; lead cost-reduction and uptime initiatives.
• Assess risks from equipment failures and ensure safety and environmental compliance.
• Train maintenance staff and promote reliability best practices across the organization.
