Job summary

Allison Transmission is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to monitor and optimize the manufacturing process, coordinating production methods and analyzing efficiency data. You will work with the manufacturing manager to uphold standards and develop new production methods and processes.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 7–10 years of experience, with strong analytical and communication skills. CAD proficiency and knowledge of GD&T are essential, and experience with NX/AutoCAD is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience.
• High level of analytical ability.
• Excellent written and oral communication across functions and with Senior Management.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional groups and independently; mentor others.
• Ability to multitask and consider business impact beyond a single function.
• Ability to provide technical guidance to senior management.
• CAD proficiency with NX or AutoCAD.
• Strong MS Office skills.
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

Responsibilities

• Design manufacturing systems focused on continuous improvement of quality and throughput of production equipment.
• Develop process documentation including stack sheets, routings, PFMEAs, flow diagrams, and mistake-proofing plans.
• Analyze proposals for new machinery and equipment.
• Lead tryouts and evaluation of new machinery and equipment.
• Provide technical support to plant operations.
• Develop and implement major capital projects.
• Develop cost estimates for new programs and concepts.
• Maintain a physical presence in the workplace.
