Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience, with a focus on design for manufacturability.
• Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, quality, operations, and suppliers.
• Proven ability to design and implement assembly processes, fixtures, or test systems.
• Knowledge of lean principles, yield improvement, and waste reduction.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and simulation software.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Apply mechanical engineering principles to design, develop, modify, and integrate manufacturing equipment, fixtures, tooling, and automated systems.
• Lead technical assessments of build processes and equipment capabilities to improve robustness and efficiency.
• Advance DFM and DFA activities with PFMEA, risk assessments, tolerance analysis, and feedback early in product development.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, SOPs, work instructions, and training plans for operations and contract manufacturers.
• Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation of equipment and processes for robustness, reliability, and safety.
• Provide hands-on support for installations, tool changes, conversions, and process improvements.
• Interface with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors to drive development and problem resolution.
• Mentor manufacturing engineers and technicians on equipment, processes, and best practices.
