Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is expanding to De Soto, Kansas, building the world’s largest lithium-ion battery factory. We seek a Manufacturing Engineer III to lead high‑entry projects in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment, driving safety, quality, and throughput improvements across production, maintenance, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in a STEM field related to manufacturing engineering.
• 4+ years of relevant engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lead medium-sized projects with scope, schedule, and results.
• Strong cross-functional communication and mentoring skills.
• English language proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium-sized process improvement, equipment upgrade, or automation projects with defined scope, budgets, and timelines.
• Independently resolves multi-variable technical challenges and drives improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across teams.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Controls, and Engineering to align on strategy.
• Apply SPC, FMEA, and other quality tools to reduce risk and improve process capability.
