We are seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer for our client in New York.
Duties:
- Analyze existing processes to develop, implement, and monitor measures to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, lean, maintenance, quality, and SHE departments to define new processes and optimization activities.
- Support the implementation of business strategies related to engineering, reliability, and standardization of operations.
- Become a technical expert in plant engineering technologies to facilitate knowledge transfer and apply best practices.
- Support troubleshooting and problem-solving initiatives to identify root causes and implement appropriate solutions.
- Participate in project teams for investments and support from a process perspective.
- Resolve customer incidents (internal & external) and support manufacturing and QOS issues. Be well-versed in company product technologies related to processing & equipment.
- Lead efforts to clarify manufacturing instructions to ensure repeatable operations.
- Set up manufacturing processes with input from R&D, Reliability, production, etc.
- Provide process troubleshooting and optimization (DOE). Perform engineering studies, such as design of experiments.
Additional qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar).
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials science, and thermodynamics.
- Project management experience.
- Six Sigma certification.
- 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process optimization, Problem solving, etc.
- Managerial experience is preferred but not required.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Occasionally, this position may require lifting and/or moving more than 55 pounds.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or related technical discipline). A master’s degree is an asset.
