Job summary

Tarkett seeks a Principal Manufacturing Engineer in Dalton, GA to provide strategic engineering leadership across the plant, driving innovation, automation, and capital projects while raising safety, quality, and reliability.

You will partner with operations, maintenance, production, and quality to set long-term engineering strategies, lead cross-functional initiatives, and mentor teams in problem solving and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required; master’s preferred.
• Experience leading complex engineering initiatives in manufacturing with capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for process engineering, automation, controls, and capital projects.
• Lead planning, design, execution, commissioning, and validation of capital improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain to improve OEE, safety, and cost.
• Mentor and develop engineering and non-engineering staff in problem-solving and process discipline.
