Job summary
Swarm Aero is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to build production lines from the ground up for advanced autonomous aircraft. You will partner with designers to implement design for manufacturing (DFM) and scale prototypes into full-scale production.
The role requires 7+ years in aerospace/defense manufacturing, CAD/PLM tool proficiency, and hands-on leadership to develop new processes for composite and metallic components.
Qualifications
- 7+ years in aerospace/defense manufacturing engineering.
- Experience with composite and metallic manufacturing.
- Experience with CAD/PLM tools.
Responsibilities
- Work with designers to develop aircraft for production and implement DFM.
- Set up manufacturing facilities from the ground up including equipment procurement and tooling design.
- Develop and implement advanced manufacturing processes for composite and metallic components.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process flows.
- Conduct feasibility studies and production readiness reviews for new designs.
- Own the production of prototypes and support transition to full-scale manufacturing.
