Job summary

Advanced Mission Partners, a subsidiary of SSAI, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support its Linthicum, MD manufacturing team. You will help develop and maintain robust processes for aerospace/defense applications, lead process improvements, and provide technical leadership across QA, PM, and Production to ensure reliability, cost, and throughput.

The role emphasizes manufacturing readiness, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to drive safe, efficient production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with soldering and electronics assembly.
• Proven ability to create work instructions from complex drawings.
• Experience programming and operating Juki SMT equipment.
• Proficiency with MS Office and 3D CAD software.
• Strong analytical, PM, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Solve manufacturing problems with innovative, practical, and sustainable solutions.
• Own continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and program documentation.
• Support transition from engineering development to manufacturing, including readiness and launch.
• Investigate and implement new processes to improve safety, quality, cost, and throughput.
• Provide technical input on product designs for manufacturability and cost.
• Create and review assembly instructions, routings, and process documentation.
• Review drawings for manufacturability and production readiness.
• Lead cross-functional teams to enhance reliability and throughput.
