Job summary

Eleven Recruiting seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for a leading aerospace and defense composite manufacturer in Hayden, ID. The role owns development, evaluation, and improvement of manufacturing processes for complex composite aerostructures—from lamination and cure through machining, assembly, and inspection.

It is a hands-on, shop-floor-present position driving repeatable, high-quality production execution.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with composite layup, cure, and post-cure machining in aerospace/defense context.
Strong Lean manufacturing knowledge and experience implementing SOPs.
Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and applying GD&T to aerostructure components.
Ability to develop manufacturing plans and build packages from drawings and design intent.
Experience with tooling/fixture design for composite fabrication.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain process control techniques in a composite manufacturing environment.
Build and own manufacturing plans from early process definition through production release.
Define tooling and fixture requirements; create and maintain tool drawings and shop orders.
Analyze process flows for improvements in quality, cost, and throughput.
Collaborate with Program Engineering to ensure producibility and effective production methods.
Provide hands-on engineering support on the shop floor to troubleshoot in real time.
Support Lean manufacturing practices and Kaizen initiatives.
