Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills to work on project teams focused on winning new business, developing new products, and reviewing engineering drawings and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual design and development of new products.
• Reviewing customer and industry specifications.
• Reviewing and approving drawing packages, conducting analyses against customer requirements, manufacturing methods, GD&T, and cost considerations.
• Generating and maintaining high-quality documentation.
• Developing new and improving existing product manufacturing processes, including tooling, routings/process sheets, and work instructions.
• Leading the design and development of machining, brazing, welding, testing, and other fixtures.
• Collaborating with subject matter experts in machining, brazing, heat treating, and welding to implement processes that meet customer requirements and cost/quality goals.
• Ensuring on-time delivery of new products through timely documentation release and factory floor support.
• Controlling manufacturing costs by employing effective manufacturing methods and fixtures.
• Processing ECNs, DMRs, MRB requests.
• Leading or conducting process failure analyses to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Developing cost estimates for new product quotations and leading or participating in cost reduction efforts.
• Researching, designing, and developing more efficient workflows, methods, and equipment.
• Leading or participating in multifunctional project teams and R&D projects.
• Requires 8+ years in manufacturing engineering with direct experience in NPI, design, and manufacturing, including machining, tooling, brazing, and GTAW welded assemblies.
• A BS degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, MRP Software/Oracle, MRB, military and aerospace specifications, ASME 14.100, ASME 14.500, AS9100, and Six Sigma.
