Job summary

Menasha Corporation is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to provide project leadership across operations, new product design support, tooling and production process improvements. Candidates should have 3–6 years of manufacturing engineering experience, with AutoCAD/SolidWorks and proven project management skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • RJG Scientific Molding knowledge is a plus.
  • PMBOK-based project management certification is desirable.
  • Welding experience as applicable to manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project management for large manufacturing initiatives, including new product development and facility changes.
  • Improve manufacturing methods using scientific molding and process control.
  • Develop and deploy technical standards, training, and procedures; include RJG auditing.
  • Coordinate NPD activities: equipment, cycle times, labor, decoration, production flow, automation, and Lift to Production.
  • Interface with plant staff to optimize processes and upskill the team.
  • Manage equipment vendors and foster strong supplier relationships.
  • Provide project management coaching and training to manufacturing teams.
  • Support other manufacturing and engineering functions as needed.

In addition, this position is responsible for support of Manufacturing Operations, New Product Design Engineering, Tooling Engineering, Marketing, and Sales in the development and implementation of new products, in some locations.1. Meets key duties and responsibilities of Manufacturing Engineer.2. Monitor key operational projects to ensure attainment of scope, timing, budgets, and desired outcome.3. Perform project management activities for significantly large projects, including new product development, facility changes, infrastructure, and other strategic initiatives.4. Primary responsibility for the improvement of manufacturing methods consistent with the principles of scientific molding and process control. Includes researching new technology to support facility, infrastructure, and equipment strategies.5. Development and deployment of technical standards, training, and procedures. Includes RJG training and auditing for effectiveness.6. Lead technical aspects of new product development relating to projecting equipment, cycle times, shrink, & labor requirements, decoration strategies, production flow, automation & secondary operation deployment, trialing, and NPD launch completion (Release to Production). Support on other aspects of NPD.7. Interface with plant salaried staff and hourly technical staff to optimize processes and improve skills.8. Equipment vendor relationship selection and management.9. Conduct project management training and coaching.10.
