Job summary

Tiltedge Solutions in Murfreesboro, TN seeks a skilled manufacturing tooling design engineer to lead weld and assembly tooling projects. You will design templates, racks, carts and related material-handling devices, and implement lean improvements on the shop floor.

Ideal candidates have strong 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks, Creo), experience with weld tooling and process planning, and a track record of creating SOPs and standardization to reduce cost and boost productivity.

Qualifications

• Experience with weld tooling/templates and its parts/components.
• 3D CAD skills in SolidWorks and Creo.
• Design and implementation of weld and assembly tooling.
• Assembly process planning.
• Creating & updating standard operating procedures, CN and DOU the process.
• Develop manufacturing process flow and with reduce cost.
• Systematic layout planning, production planning & control.
• Lean implementation.
• Racking system design for material stack up.
• Validation of Racks and cart based on the load capacity.
• Designing of cart and special purpose material handling devices.
• Designing of Templates and special purpose tools for productivity improvements.
• Quality checking gauges.
• Material flow and standardization process support.
• Daily follow up with projects and interaction with customer.
• Supporting to continuous improvement process.
• 5S line support for line implementation.
