Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. in Gilbertsville, PA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead engineering, manufacturing, production, procurement, inventory, quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

This full-time onsite role requires strong background in manufacturing operations and Lean initiatives. You will drive cross-functional teams, manage BOMs and ERP/MRP, optimize production scheduling, supplier relations, and cost reduction efforts, and guide CNC, tooling, and process

Qualifications

  • Requires US Citizenship or current Permanent Residency (Green Card).
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
  • Strong background in manufacturing engineering, production management, or engineering operations.
  • Experience with custom, engineered-to-order, or high-mix manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of machining, fabrication, assembly, and CNC operations.
  • Experience with BOMs, routings, work orders, MRP/ERP, inventory, purchasing, and production planning.
  • Experience with CAD; AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-functional engineering, production, purchasing, and quality teams.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Six Sigma training or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering and manufacturing operations across production, machining, fabrication, assembly, purchasing, scheduling, quality, and shop-floor execution.
  • Manage production scheduling, workforce allocation, material availability, job status, quality, and delivery priorities.
  • Oversee material sourcing, supplier relationships, purchasing, inventory, and supply-chain requirements.
  • Support quoting and estimating through BOMs, material requirements, vendor pricing, lead times, and manufacturing inputs.
  • Identify and resolve material shortages, production bottlenecks, expediting requirements, and delivery issues.
  • Lead ERP/MRP improvements involving BOMs, routings, work orders, inventory, procurement, and production planning.
  • Drive cost reduction, safety, quality, facility, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Lead manufacturing engineering for custom-engineered products, including production documentation, manufacturing drawings, CNC programming, tooling, fixtures, and process standards.
  • Implement Lean initiatives including 5S, process mapping, root-cause analysis, and process standardization.
