Job summary

FPC of Savannah in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to oversee fabrication and assembly processes, drive continuous improvement, and optimize plant layouts.

This role emphasizes process development, project leadership, cost-aware manufacturing, and collaboration with vendors and staff to meet design specifications and production goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, or relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a similar environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process Development Project Management – ensuring completion from start to finish
  • Supports and/or leads product launch activities
  • Review engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods and activities in manufacturing and services
  • Define how to manufacture parts or products, or deliver services, with maximum efficiency
  • Develop quality control procedures to resolve production problems or minimize costs
  • Work with customers and management to develop standards for design and production
  • Confer with clients concerning product specifications, vendors about purchases, management personnel about manufacturing capabilities, and staff about the status of projects
  • Develop, recommend, and implement initiatives to improve production metrics and financial performance
  • Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors
  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes
  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements
  • Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians
