SCALING RIG PRODUCTION

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Durin, you will be immersed in every aspect of building and optimizing production processes for drill rigs and related sub-systems. You’ll be directly responsible for tooling and fixture design, line layouts, and problem-solving on the shop floor to ensure prototypes quickly scale into production.

Note: You don't need mining or drilling experience to excel in this role.

What You'll Do

• Set up and refine manufacturing lines, including designing jigs, fixtures, and tooling in CAD
• Directly engage on the shop floor to troubleshoot production bottlenecks and drive practical improvements
• Collaborate with mechanical design teams to ensure new products follow DFM/DFMA best practices
• Optimize layouts, equipment usage, and process flows to balance speed, quality, and cost
• Oversee critical builds from prototype stages to higher-volume production, documenting lessons and best practices
• Investigate and resolve production issues through hands-on root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• Work directly with our internal and external customers to drive the roadmap
• Build alongside the best engineers, explorers, and operators in the world
  
  
  
  
  

Who You Are

• Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, assembly) and fixture/tooling design
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, NX, etc.) and a strong familiarity with GD&T standards and DFM
• Proven track record transitioning products from prototypes to production in a fast-paced environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work through complex technical challenges
• Comfortable interfacing with vendors, machine shops, and cross-functional engineering teams
• Excellent communication and documentation skills to track project progress and share results effectively
• Have extensive experience shipping modern, full-stack hardware
• Excited to work in a fast-paced environment with high stakes and quick iteration cycles
• Have a bias to action, take pride in your work, and care more about getting to the right solution than being right

Compensation
This role will pay $150,000–$180,000, plus equity, so you have a real stake in Durin's success. Everyone is an owner, so as the company grows, your equity grows too.
