Job summary

States Manufacturing LLC in Minnesota is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced manufacturing processes. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production of high-quality products.

Responsibilities include leading process improvements, guiding the manufacturing team, reviewing production data, selecting new equipment, and ensuring safety, regulatory and quality standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 7–10 years in manufacturing engineering with process development.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Lead process improvement efforts to reduce waste and improve quality.
• Provide technical guidance to the manufacturing team to increase productivity and reduce costs.
• Review and analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Partner with design, engineering, and operations teams to ensure products are easy to manufacture.
• Select, test, and implement new equipment and technologies.
• Ensure all processes meet safety, regulatory, and quality requirements.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Manage projects related to new processes, equipment, or technological improvements.
• Create and maintain process documentation and SOPs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex manufacturing issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience
• 7-10 years of manufacturing engineering experience with strong process development skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methods
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Experience with ERP systems and project management

Preferred:

• Experience with automation and advanced manufacturing technologies
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 tools and concepts
• Lean Six Sigma certification or similar credentials
