Burnett Specialists is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead the close processes and manage financial reporting for a manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes hands-on involvement with operations and cost accounting to drive accurate costing and performance insight.

The ideal candidate brings GAAP expertise, strong inventory/cost accounting knowledge, and ERP experience in Sage/NetSuite/GSS, with 5+ years in accounting and at least 3 years in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in manufacturing.
• Experience in a smaller manufacturing environment (approximately $50M in annual revenue or less).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, inventory accounting, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
• ERP experience with Sage, NetSuite, GSS, or similar systems.
• Hands-on, analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Oversee general ledger reporting, account reconciliations, and financial statement reviews.
• Manage inventory valuation, cost accounting, and revenue/cost reporting.
• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate costing and financial reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and monthly operational reviews.
• Strengthen internal controls, improve processes, and support audits.
• Work closely with executive leadership to provide financial insights and operational support.
