Job summary

Wabtec Corporation in Oregon seeks a senior Automation & Advanced Manufacturing leader to drive welding and joining automation across multiple sites. You will develop standards, evaluate new technologies, and lead capital projects to improve safety, quality, and productivity while delivering cost improvements.

The role requires hands-on leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and travel to enterprise manufacturing sites as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an engineering or automation discipline.
Strong background in welding automation or robotic welding.
7+ years in industrial automation or advanced manufacturing.
Proven leadership of automation and capital projects.
Robotics, controls, safety, and machine integration knowledge.
Experience in developing automation concepts, scopes, and ROI cases.
Ability to travel to support enterprise sites.

Responsibilities

Lead automation projects from concept through production launch.
Evaluate processes and identify automation opportunities.
Develop technical concepts, capital estimates, and ROI cases.
Serve as enterprise technical owner for welding and joining automation.
Develop automation standards and preferred technologies.
Support multiple sites and lead vendor selections, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and startup.
Mentor site engineers and drive technology strategy.
