onsemi is seeking a self-driven and motivated professional to join their MOS (Manufacturing Operations Systems) team, located in Gresham, Oregon. As a Senior MOS Engineer (Business Analyst / Software Developer / System Engineer), you will have the opportunity to participate and contribute in a team to sustain and enhance complex digitalized manufacturing systems. This includes the analysis, design, development, integration and testing of new systems as well as sustaining continuous improvement of existing systems used by manufacturing and business customers. This role involves working closely with business partners and other IT (Information Technology) team members to provide innovative solutions to the unique requirements of semiconductor manufacturing.
The successful candidate will:
•Lead key projects/initiatives to integrate new solutions and upgrade existing ones
•Have a proven track record of developing and delivering value through application software development and business process automation
•Independently and effectively organize, manage, and drive multiple efforts with challenging timelines.
•Adjust quickly to changing priorities, work in an agile environment, and operate sustainably.
•Demonstrate effective analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
•Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Provide customer support for semiconductor processing manufacturing systems.
•Build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional team of peers, customers, and vendors.
Communication
•Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization including management, business representatives, IT peers, customers and vendors.
•Create documentation to capture detailed analysis and design to satisfy current and future business requirements as well as support current sustaining processes.
Client Management
•Continually promote practices to improve internal client satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
•Facilitate client meetings to identify needs and capture accurate business requirements.
Engineering Knowledge
•Drive all new equipment integration development
•Act as the architect/subject matter expert to design highly available robust environments
•Demonstrate solid applied knowledge of software engineering, information systems and technology life cycle practices.
•Apply advanced Project Management concepts to support concurrent projects while implementing solutions.
•Coordinate the deployment / integration of solutions with local, global and vendor teams.
Applied Knowledge
•Demonstrate expertise with SQL queries and relational database principles to ensure the integrity of stored data.
•Demonstrate expertise with modern programming languages and environments such as the Microsoft .NET framework and Java frameworks.
•Demonstrate expertise with modern version control systems such as GIT.
•Demonstrate expertise of Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems.
•Demonstrate expertise with SEMI Standard GEM/SECS protocol.
Required Qualifications
•10+ years of experience in application software development and business process automation, and SQL
•5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing and associated systems – MES (Manufacturing Execution System) development/support and EI (Equipment Interface) / equipment automation
•5+ years of experience with SEMI Standard GEM/SECS protocol or experience with similar forms of equipment interface communication protocols
•5+ years of experience in object oriented programming, preferably in C# or Java
•Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience leading projects as a project lead or technical lead
•Experience with CELLworks Equipment Integration development
•Proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio IDE and Microsoft .NET
