Job summary

Precipart in Farmingdale, NY seeks a Senior Applications Engineer to lead methodization and serial production launches for precision components. You will translate customer requirements into robust manufacturing routings, work instructions, and control plans while coordinating with cross‑functional teams across Global Sourcing, Finance, and Program Management.

The role emphasizes ERP data integrity, costing inputs, and transitioning NPIs to repeatable production.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline required.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in precision manufacturing, process engineering, or related fields.
Experience moving products from prototype to stable serial production.
Strong understanding of CNC turning, milling, grinding, gear manufacturing, metrology, and inspection.
Experience tying customer requirements to inspection plans, CTQs, and metrology methods.

Responsibilities

Develop, validate, and release manufacturing methods for serial production of precision machined components and assemblies.
Translate drawings, BOMs, specs, and quality requirements into routings, work instructions, and inspection plans.
Define machine centers, work centers, and production strategy based on capability and cost.
Support transition from prototype to stable serial production with documented, repeatable methods.
Collaborate with Quality, Inspection, Metrology, and Manufacturing to align plans with customer requirements.
