Job summary

TGG Accounting in Auburn, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support NPI projects from concept to production launch. This onsite role requires partnering with engineering, operations, quality, tooling, and production teams to ensure scalable, efficient manufacturing.

You will lead readiness activities, evaluate manufacturability, define tooling and process needs, and drive cost estimates for manufacturing setups, with opportunities for career growth in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 4+ years in manufacturing engineering or NPI.
• Experience with injection molding and/or blow molding.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, PFMEA, and process validation.
• Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing-readiness activities for NPI projects from tooling kickoff through production release.
• Evaluate manufacturability and production requirements.
• Determine tooling, packaging, automation, equipment, labor, and process-capability needs.
• Develop cost estimates and quoting inputs for labor, tooling, packaging, automation, machinery, and processes.
• Define, qualify, and validate new manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Support PFMEA, IQ, OQ, and PQ activities.
• Create work instructions, SOPs, project records, and handoff docs.
• Train operators and support production during new-product launches.
• Monitor launch metrics and transition from engineering to production.
• Prepare and evaluate RFQ packages for packaging, automation, and post-processing equipment.
• Manage project scope, actions, deadlines, and communication.
• Work with suppliers, customers, tooling shops, and cross-functional teams.

Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Auburn, NY
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Employment Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time
Salary: $100,000-$120,000 base + 10% bonus
Schedule: Flexible 40-45 hour workweek

Position Overview

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from initial concept through full production launch. This role will determine how new products can be manufactured efficiently, reliably, and at scale while partnering closely with engineering, operations, quality, tooling, and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing-readiness activities for NPI projects from tooling kickoff through production release.
• Evaluate product manufacturability and production requirements.
• Determine tooling, packaging, automation, equipment, labor, and process‑capability requirements.
• Develop cost estimates and quoting inputs for labor, tooling, packaging, automation, machinery, and manufacturing processes.
• Define, qualify, and validate new manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Support PFMEA, IQ, OQ, and PQ activities.
• Create work instructions, SOPs, project records, and production‑handoff documentation.
• Train operators and support production teams during new‑product launches.
• Monitor launch metrics and manage the transition from engineering into ongoing production.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• 4+ years of manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or new product launch experience.
• Experience with injection molding and/or blow molding.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PFMEA, and process validation.
• Strong communication, organizational, project management, and problem‑solving skills.

Additional Experience

• IQ, OQ, and PQ experience.
• SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
• ERP systems.
• IQMS/DELMIAWorks.
