Job summary

Grip-Tite Manufacturing seeks a Sr. Accountant to support financial integrity, reporting, planning, and analysis. You will work with the Controller on budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and ERP utilization to connect numbers with business decisions.

You will collaborate with operations and other departments, drive process improvements, and provide insightful financial analyses to leadership. The role is office-based in Johnston, IA with regular interaction across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of five years of professional accounting or finance experience.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, income statements, balance sheets, reconciliations, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and expense management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger and ensure transactions are recorded accurately.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting.
• Analyze income statement and balance sheet for trends, variances, or discrepancies.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Participate in month-end/year-end close and improve close efficiency.
• Support annual budget development and periodic forecasts.
• Monitor performance against budgets and provide variance analyses.
• Assist management with expense management and cost drivers.
• Develop financial reports, dashboards, and analyses for leadership.
