Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA or CMA a plus.
• Strong general ledger accounting experience, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Demonstrated cost accounting experience, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
• Background in a manufacturing environment required.
• Experience with manufacturing ERP systems (such as Plex, QAD, SAP, Epicor, Infor, Oracle, or similar).
• Excellent communication skills with cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control principles.
• Drive for continuous improvement and meeting business targets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Perform cost accounting functions including standard costing and variance analysis.
• Analyze production costs and overhead allocations for accurate product costing.
• Prepare and review management reporting packages for finance leadership.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes with cost center analysis.
• Assist with internal controls, process documentation, and GAAP compliance.
• Support ERP system maintenance, enhancements, and data conversions.
• Collaborate with Operations and Manufacturing to improve inventory accuracy and reporting.
• Contribute to audit readiness and respond to auditors as needed.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and participate in special projects.
