Job summary

Navstar Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Manual Test Engineer in Maryland to perform component, integration, and system testing across a fast-paced software program.

You will write and execute system-level test procedures, verify defect corrections, and support the testing framework and infrastructure in a lab environment. The role requires collaboration with Software Development, System Engineering, and Deployment teams, plus a strong focus on test data, acceptance criteria, and agile

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
• Experience across full software test lifecycle and documenting test procedures.
• Experience in formal test events (AT, UAT, final release tests).
• Ability to work with software developers to create formal test procedures.
• Experience with testing in a lab environment using physical equipment.
• Ability to collect, analyze, and present test results; report findings for audits.
• Experience using elevated privileges to execute manual tests.
• Experience testing against existing system and functional specs.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Strong communication with management and technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement system-level test procedures and test reports.
• Perform component, integration, and system testing; evaluate software changes.
• Define test data and acceptance criteria; support test plans and procedures.
• Collaborate with Software Development, System Engineering, Integration, Deployment, and Sustainment.
• Support software configuration management and testing frameworks.
