Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a Sr. Machine Operator/Manual Machinist to operate and maintain production machinery, perform advanced setup, monitor quality, and support training of junior operators in a dynamic shop environment.

You will work with multiple departments, run large mills and lathes, plan tooling needs, and ensure safe, efficient production. Overtime may be required; experience with precision measuring tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have manual machining experience.
• Experience working with turbo machinery is a plus.
• Must have the required tools to perform their expected tasks or ability to acquire.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to use precision measuring instruments.
• No visa or work permit support can be provided for this role.

Responsibilities

• Work closely and clearly communicate with the other departments, Machine personnel, Supervisor, and Lead.
• Capable of operating all machines in the shop (including large mills, lathes, stripping machine, peening machine, tool post grinders, and other equipment).
• Planning – Work with Department Supervisor to develop a machine plan: Determine what tools will be required prior to starting the machine process.
