Job summary

Washington Auto Law is seeking a Senior Managing Litigation Attorney to build and lead our litigation department. This role is primarily remote with occasional in-person collaboration at our Renton office, offering autonomy and strategic leadership over an active docket.

You will manage case strategy, mentor associates, and oversee workflows, metrics, and resources to grow the department while trying cases as first-chair counsel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years of dedicated plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience.
• A proven history of handling 10+ jury trials to verdict in Washington State courts as first-chair counsel.
• Active member in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA).
• Willingness to work remotely with occasional in-person meetings at Renton office.
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills.

To support our continued growth, we are looking for a high-caliber leader to formalize, build, and lead our Litigation Department. We are seeking a Senior Managing Litigation Attorney who wants to actively try cases while scaling a department. This role is primarily a remote/work-from-home position, offering excellent autonomy, with the expectation of occasional in-person collaboration, team meetings, or trial preparation at our office in Renton. This role is a blend of high-stakes advocacy and strategic leadership—you will manage an active litigation docket while taking ownership of building out the team, processes, and infrastructure for our growing litigation department.

Key Responsibilities

• First-Chair Advocacy: Act as lead trial counsel on auto accident injury cases.


• Team Leadership & Process Design: Take ownership of leading, formalizing, and expanding our litigation department. Establish the tactical workflows, case metrics, and serve as the direct mentor to future litigation associates and support staff.


• Docket Management: Independently guide a specialized litigation docket from initial filing through discovery and jury trial.


• Pre-Litigation Synergy: Collaborate directly with our highly efficient pre-litigation division to identify and transition files when insurance carriers refuse to compensate our clients for what they are legally owed by the party responsible.

Required Qualifications

• Base Salary: $200,000 per year base salary, supplemented by a performance-based percentage of gross profit generated.
