The purpose of the Senior Managing Litigation Attorney is to oversee a team of attorneys ranging from entry level to seasoned senior litigation management attorneys. This position is responsible for overseeing and reviewing work performed by attorneys to ensure compliance with defense counsel guidelines. The role works to improve processes, as well as assists with budget planning, financial measures and results. The Senior Managing Attorney will identify and lead initiatives to improve the team’s efficiency and ensures effective communication between the legal and business teams. The role acts as both a Litigation Attorney with a reduced case count and manages a staff of Litigation attorneys. The position works autonomously and under the general supervision of the Litigation Management’s department Director.
This is a hybrid position, offering the flexibility to work from both home and the office. Candidates must be able to work from one of our California branch offices in San Diego, Pasadena, or Rancho Cordova.
Directly supervises employees within the Litigation Management team and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. These responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; conducting performance and salary reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; coaching, mentoring, and developing team members to further their skills and knowledge; creating and monitoring development plans; setting performance expectations/goals; forecasting staffing needs and planning for peak times and absences; enforcing department policies and procedures.
Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of California with no history of public or private reprisals.
Office environment – no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands and employees are regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, and hear.
This position operates in an office, home, and court environment and requires frequent use of a computer, telephone, copier, scanner, and other standard office equipment. The position requires traveling to various court locations and works at one of the offices of In-House Counsel on a weekly basis.

The current range for this position is
$152,611.77 - $273,178.28
This range is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at ICW Group, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors unique to each candidate, including experience, education and the location of the role and considers employees performing substantially similar work.
