Job summary

Amica Center for Immigrant Rights is seeking a Managing Attorney for the Children’s Program in the DC-Baltimore region. You will supervise staff, handle complex removal proceedings, and advance child-focused legal relief with a trauma-informed approach.

The role requires a JD and 3+ years of immigration experience, Spanish fluency, and willingness to travel. We offer a hybrid work model with a strong benefits package and opportunities for leadership in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• JD with at least three years of immigration law experience.
• Experience working with child clients is preferred.
• Management and supervision experience required.
• Fluency in written and spoken Spanish is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, client-centered immigration representation for detained and released clients.
• Supervise and train staff attorneys and paralegals.
• Ensure contractual and grant compliance and contribute to program planning.
• Manage caseloads and mentor junior staff in litigation strategy and filings.
• Support program leadership and cross-program collaboration.
