Amgen is seeking a Senior Manager Utilities Engineering to lead the F&E Utilities team at our site. You will drive design, start-up, and operations of GMP and non-GMP utilities, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance.

You will mentor staff, manage budgets, and partner with Manufacturing, Quality, EH&S and Engineering to deliver capital projects and continuous improvement while supporting 24/7 operations and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree with engineering background and 2+ years managerial experience.
• Master’s degree with 6+ years engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years engineering experience.
• Associate’s degree with 10+ years engineering experience.
• High school diploma / GED with 12+ years engineering experience and 2+ years leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Utilities Engineering team and act as main contact for utilities engineering.
• Support start-up of site utility systems and transfer ownership to E&E utilities.
• Develop long-term strategy for technical support of installed systems and CMMS setups.
• Support budgets for all utility engineering services including mechanical and HVAC.
• Ensure programs align with cGMP, safety regs, and Amgen standards.
• Oversee safety during construction, start-up, and maintenance across shifts.
• Lead site readiness for internal audits, external audits, and partner visits.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, EH&S, and Engineering on projects.
