Job summary

Yahoo Holdings Inc. is seeking a Detection Engineering Sr. Manager to lead the Threat Detection and Response team.

You will guide a group of engineers to build and maintain threat detections, working closely with Incident Response and Insider Threat programs to identify adversaries across Yahoo's infrastructure. You will collaborate with threat intelligence and data science to scale detections, integrating AI capabilities while applying sound judgment on practical deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading security or engineering teams.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, ETL, SIEM, ML and cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS).

Responsibilities

• Shape and execute the Threat Detection and Response strategy with the team.
• Brainstorm detection, hunt, and purple-team ideas.
• Lead the sprint process for building and deploying detections.
• Support cybersecurity investigations as a leader of the group.
• Collaborate with threat intel and data science to scale detections.
