Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in United States seeks a senior technical leader to drive technology transfer, product and process improvements, and packaging system qualifications for parenteral products. You will act as site SME and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure robust, compliant commercial supply.

Qualifications

  • Lead primary packaging components activities and data analytics; ensure compliant commercial supply.
  • Serve as site SME for product processes, statistical process monitoring, and packaging systems.
  • Lead, coach, and develop scientists and engineers; set direction and allocate resources.
  • Own product tech transfers and product/process improvements; review reports using RCA/CAPA tools.
  • Provide technical leadership for delivery devices/combination products; support risk management and CAPA for device failures.
  • Lead statistical trending of CQAs, CPPs, defects data; communicate findings and CAPA effectiveness.
  • Develop experimental protocols, execute studies, analyze data, and author technical reports; support audits.

Job description

Role Responsibilities:
  • Provide senior technical leadership for Technology Transfer, product/process improvements, primary packaging components, MDCPs, and data analytics; ensure robust, compliant, reliable commercial supply.
  • Serve as site Subject Matter Expert (SME) for product processes, statistical process monitoring, and primary packaging systems; partner cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement and investigation excellence.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of scientists and engineers; set technical direction, prioritize work, allocate resources, and manage performance.
  • Own product technology transfers and product/process improvements; review/approve scientific technical reports using black belt tools.
  • Provide technical ownership for primary packaging components (vials, stoppers, seals, syringes, cartridges), including qualifications, SCNs/SCARs, deviations, investigations, and root cause analysis.
  • Provide technical leadership for delivery devices/combination products; lead discrepancy resolution with RCAs and CAPA for device failures; support verification, risk assessments, mitigations, and risk management plans.
  • Lead statistical trending/monitoring of CQAs, CPPs, visual inspection, and defect data; apply statistical tools to identify trends, support hypotheses, and evaluate CAPA effectiveness; communicate findings.
  • Develop experimental protocols, execute studies, analyze data, and author technical reports; support new starts and audit readiness/regulatory inspections.
Qualifications (Required):
  • Bachelor’s + 6 years OR Master’s + 5 years OR PhD + 1+ year.
Preferred:
  • FDA/global regulatory knowledge for analytical methods/qualification/validation of parenteral products and container closure systems.
  • Strong RCA and CAPA; cross-functional leadership and communication skills.
  • AI tool experience (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) and responsible AI curiosity.
  • Background in technology transfer, statistical analysis/defect trending, primary packaging components; experience with MDCPs, component qualification, change management, validation/qualification, and regulatory filings.
