The Senior Manager, Technical Product Manager, is responsible for designing, developing, and managing activities for a specific product or group of products from definition and planning through production, release, and end of life. This role involves full lifecycle management with a technical focus, including strategy, design, development, management, and end-of-life of products. Leverage market insights to understand customer needs and emerging technology trends to identify opportunities or adjust current offerings. Balance deep subject matter expertise with strong technical skills. Accountable for product performance, updates, and portfolio management to improve competitive position and meet customer needs. Owns or is accountable for the P&L and manages cross-functional stakeholders, functioning as a technical expert familiar with development concepts and practices. A background or degree in computer science or engineering is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

• Research and analyze market requirements for assigned product features, including market analysis, competitor analysis, and compliance (PPACA, HIPAA).
• Define detailed requirements and functions for features of the HIX system.
• Collaborate with UI & UX teams to define wireframes and visuals based on requirements.
• Prepare requirement documentation such as User Stories, FSD, BRD, etc.
• Facilitate meetings with external clients and internal teams for reviews, walkthroughs, and demos.
• Participate in agile ceremonies (User Story creation, grooming, scrum, defect support, PO reviews) with stakeholders.
• Mentor and review work of other Business Analysts working on product features.
• Own certain product modules from a management perspective and become the SME.
• Contribute to Product Roadmap, RFP responses, and team initiatives.
• Manage a team of Business Analysts/Product Analysts.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in information technology.
• 8+ years working on software products as a Business Analyst or Product Manager.
• 8+ years of detailed business analysis and requirement documentation skills.
• 5+ years working with globally located teams.
• 5+ years of US Healthcare domain experience.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without restrictions; proof required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience with the ACA and Medicaid systems (MAGI, Non-MAGI, HIX, IES).
• 2+ years of experience with HIX/IES/Medicaid Eligibility systems.
• Remote employees must adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.

The salary range is $106,800 to $194,200 annually, based on full-time employment, with benefits including comprehensive packages, incentive programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contributions. Compensation depends on factors like labor markets, education, experience, and certifications.
